A transgender man who became a father for the third time decided to share photographs of his child's birth in an effort to break down barriers for the L.G.B.T.+ community. Yuval Topper- Erez was in the midst of his fourth when he decided to indulge in something he had always enjoyed: photographing births. However, the ts father residing in England had intended to keep the photographs private. Instead, he shared them with the world, and their impact is already being felt.
The father stated on his Instagram account that he has always enjoyed birthing photoshoots and therefore decided to create one for himself. "At first, I thought they would only serve as a loving memory for me and perhaps my son, but when I saw the final product, I felt compelled to share them because they represent two causes that I hold dear: the t of home births and the t of ts and - people t."
Yuval also confessed that this was his fourth ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ, but the previous ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ, unfortunately, ended in a ᴍɪsᴄᴀʀʀɪᴀɢᴇ that left him with many mixed feelings. He noted: “It was a difficult wait, physically and emotionally.” This was also one of the reasons why he first preferred to share his photos and his joy with his closest circle. He added: “I hope that, among other things, this album will inspire those who help ɢɪᴠᴇ ʙɪʀtʜ and future ‘ʜɪᴘᴘᴏᴄᴀᴍᴘus’ parents (that is, ɢᴇstᴀtɪᴏɴᴀʟ tʀᴀɴs parents).” Similarly, he stressed that he is not the first to live this experience, but unfortunately, there are not enough men who have decided to share their experiences, due to tᴀʙᴏᴏs and ᴅɪsᴄʀɪᴍɪɴᴀtɪᴏɴ.
Topper Erez stated that the fact that the L.G.B.T+ ut continue to face extreme adversity in some countries was another factor in his decision to publish the photographs, despite the fact that they depict a past event. He said, "I know how important it would have been for me to see photographs like these prior to the birth of my first child, and I know the great impact it continues to have to this day when I see portraits of other ts or - colleagues receiving their children."
"These photographs are my way of asserting that we have the right to exist, to make decisions, to love and to be respected," he stated. The proud father's photos quickly went viral, and he received dozens of comments from people praising him for his immense courage to speak out about a long-shrouded subject, such as his parenting. And not only prove that it exists, but also that they have the right to publicly enjoy it.
