Scots Mother Conceives Identical Triplets Against 1 in 200 Million Odds Before Giving Birth During L

In October of 2019, Allana Allard, 29, and her husband Tim, 31, were overjoyed to learn that they would become first-time parents. The new mother from Davistown, New South Wales, Australia, revealed that she and Tim had been attempting to conceive for only two weeks prior to obtaining a positive home pregnancy test.

Excited by the news, the couple eagerly awaited their first ultrasound together when Allana was six weeks pregnant; nevertheless, they were rendered speechless upon hearing there were three heartbeats detected. Allana, who was born in Falkirk, Scotland, but relocated to Australia when she was 13 years old, stated, "We decided to begin trying for a child in October of last year, and within two weeks we were pregnant."We were quite pleased. As it was so early, we did not have high hopes for the results of our initial scan.

"Initially, we heard two heartbeats, and we were informed that it was twins. However, an internal ultrasound revealed that we were expecting triplets."Tim turned pale as a ghost and uttered a few expletives. I became shocked. "There is no history of multiple births in either of our families, so it was purely coincidental."After the initial shock subsided, we were overjoyed.

We were apprehensive, as any new parents are, but we were overjoyed." Some studies have estimated that the probability of a woman producing identical triplets by natural means is as low as one in two hundred million. Five months into Allana's pregnancy, the world was flipped upside down by the COVID-19 epidemic, as if the impending birth of triplets wasn't stressful enough. With severe lockdown measures in place to prevent the disease's transmission, the pregnant mother's husband was no longer permitted to attend any critical appointments with her. And following the birth of her sons, the parents were not permitted to have any family members see the triplets in the hospital during the three weeks they spent there before returning home.

Allana noted that because to the COVID-19 travel bans, her loving 82-year-old grandmother, who frequently visited Australia from Scotland in prior years, was unable to visit her great-grandsons.

The administrative assistant stated, "It was such a tough time with COVID. Tim was not permitted in any of the scans, so he would have to spend hours in the car.Our family members were unable to meet the triplets until we brought them home. They spent three weeks in the NICU."We do not know when my great-grandmother will be able to meet her great-grandchildren. My great-grandmother typically visits us twice a year, but we do not know when she will be able to see her great-grandchildren.It had a significant impact on our first pregnancy."

As Jaxon and Zac were growing in one sac and Zavier in another, the parents initially believed that only two of their sons were identical and that the third was a sibling. Six weeks after their birth, the parents were surprised to learn that their three children were genetically identical.

Tim, a miner, stated, "We never imagined they would be identical because two of them shared a sac and placenta while the third had his own."But after they were born, it was evident that they appeared identical. People suggested we conduct a DNA test to determine the truth.The results of a simple cheek swab test proved that they were in fact identical triplets.It was incredible to receive such confirmation." The boys were delivered via cesarean section at 33 weeks, weighing 1,9 kg, 2 kg, and 2,3 kg.

Now that the triplets are about six months old, the couple has established a routine and their family of five is happier than ever. Allana stated, "It still blows my mind that I gave birth to three children."I did not experience morning sickness or other severe issues during my pregnancy.It took us several months to organize everything. We required three of each item.

"It triples the price of every product. We had to order our stroller from abroad, but it was delayed by COVID and came just in time.

We consume at least three cans of infant formula per week, and diapers are never-ending.Nowhere in the city can we travel without being stopped. Our stroller is so large that you cannot miss it.

"The birth of triplets was both a surprise and a blessing. We would have nothing different."
