Without fertility treatment, a woman has quadruplets.

Jenny Marr and her husband decided to start trying for a child on her 34th birthday. Jenny Marr, age 35, and her husband, Chris Marr, age 35, both reside in Dallas. They would have been content with a family of four, including their dog Zeke, had they only had one child. On October 6, she took an HIV test, which was positive. The couple, upon hearing a steady tt, began counting down the seconds until they could finally view their child on a s screen. They were unaware, however, that they had not one, not two, not three, but four tts to hear and four s images to examine.

Jenny Marr was carrying four medical marvels: identical monochorionic uuts, of which only 72 cases have been documented in medical literature, per her obstetrician Lauren Murray. Obviously, the initial utsu was not what the Marrs had anticipated. Marr went in for her first OB tt at just over 10 weeks t. Her husband sat beside her as Murray applied gel to Marr's still-tiny baby bump.

Jenny Marr stated, "As Dr. Murray began performing the s, she suddenly assumed a humorous expression and turned the screen away from us. I immediately began to believe that something was absurdly absurd. I told her it was fine and that she could let me know if there were any issues. Murray responded, "Oh no, there is unquestionably a tt. In fact, there are three infants inside. One week later, after the Marrs had somewhat digested the new reality that they were having three babies instead of one, they went to see a ʜɪɢʜ-ʀɪsᴋ-ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ sᴘᴇᴄɪᴀʟɪst. Jenny Marr said: “Yet again, the sᴏɴᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜᴇʀ got this weird look on her face.We asked her what was taking so long, and she told us that she wasn’t supposed to say since she’s not a ᴅᴏᴄtᴏʀ. But she ended up blurting it out anyway, something along the lines of: Ya’ll, there are 100 percent ꜰᴏuʀ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ɪɴ tʜᴇʀᴇ. That’s when three became four. I told Jenny we shouldn’t go to our next appointment because they’ll just keep multiplying.”

The couple had somewhere in the range of a 1 in 11 million to 1 in 15 million chance of ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠɪɴɢ tʜᴇsᴇ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs, Rinehart said: “Tᴡɪɴs, tʀɪᴘʟᴇts, ᴀɴᴅ ᴇᴠᴇɴ ǫuᴀᴅs have gone way up with ᴀssɪstᴇᴅ ʀᴇᴘʀᴏᴅuᴄtɪᴠᴇ tᴇᴄʜɴᴏʟᴏɢɪᴇs. But ɴᴀtuʀᴀʟʟʏ ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇᴅ ɪᴅᴇɴtɪᴄᴀʟ ᴍᴏɴᴏᴄʜᴏʀɪᴏɴɪᴄ ᴏ̨uᴀᴅʀuᴘʟᴇts is something we just don’t really see. Any ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ ɪs ʀɪsᴋʏ, he said, but in this case, tʜᴇ ʀɪsᴋs ᴀʀᴇ ᴍuʟtɪᴘʟɪᴇᴅ ʙʏ ꜰᴏuʀ.  Rinehart said: “Pʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ, even with one baby, is ʜᴀʀᴅ ᴏɴ tʜᴇ ʙᴏᴅʏ. Fᴏuʀ ɪs ᴊust ʀɪᴅɪᴄuʟᴏus. The body is simply not made to do that.”

Fortunately, the P was smooth, and the babies grew proportionally. Jenny Marr went into labor on March 15, 28 weeks after beginning her pregnancy. But the C-section was successful, and Harrison, Hardy, Henry, and Hudson were born within three minutes. Even the smallest infant, who weighed 1 pound and 15 ounces, was born strong and healthy, requiring no additional oxygen. All four remained in the t ts ut to be monitored for several weeks, until the last Marr boy returned home last week..
