The National Solar Observatory at Sunspot, New Mexico, abruptly closed two weeks ago for a cause that was neither the presence of extraterrestrials nor an oncoming solar storm. At least, they want you to believe that. According to Mundo Esoterica and Paranormal, the FBI stormed Sunspot, New Mexico on September 6 with a Black Hawk chopper and forced everyone to leave the solar observatory. Also, a local post office and a dozen residences were evacuated. (Unidentified Flying Objects on the Sun)
Then, there was just quiet. The FBI neither confirmed nor denied the existence of this secret program. The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA), which was responsible for maintaining the installation, provided no more details, stating only that there was a "security issue." The sheriff of Otero County stated that he had not been alerted about the incident. On Monday, however, the facility reopened and AURA facilities disclosed the reasons for the evacuation. A spokesperson stated in a statement that the observatory was closed due to "criminal activities" in the area. (Unidentified Flying Objects on the Sun)
The statement read, "We were worried that a suspect in a federal investigation may represent a threat to the safety of workers and area citizens." "As a result, AURA temporarily abandoned the buildings and discontinued scientific research at this location."
Obviously, this explanation raises more issues than it resolves. Of course, not everyone is convinced by this version. Six additional observatories have remained idle during the period that the National Solar Observatory at Sunspot has been dormant. Two are located in Hawaii and one each in Australia, Chile, Spain, and Pennsylvania. Now, though, one amateur astronomer believes she has identified the cause of the unexplained closures. The reason for the mysterious closure
An astronomer who was photographing the Sun claims to have spotted a massive UFO trailed by a fleet of smaller spacecraft traveling behind our closest star, which might be the actual reason why multiple observatories have been closed throughout the world so the FBI could conceal the finding.
The photograph was captured on September 11 by Maria Hill of Salem, Washington County, Indiana, and purports to depict spacecraft of alien origin near the Sun.

"This is what my camera captured when I took a shot of the Sun this morning," he commented with the photographs on his Facebook page. "I utilized an iPhone 8 equipped with a lens adapter. There is a round thing resembling a green door in the center of the hole in the vortex/worm, and a snake-like creature resembling a circular disk above it. With the snake and the disk, I'm sure this has a significant significance.
The amateur astronomer identifies two enormous circular objects that appear to be connected for some reason. In addition to the spaceship, there are some other spherical objects and a mushroom-shaped thing.
Shortly following its publishing, conspiracy theorists and ufologists asserted that if the enigmatic objects in the photographs are not a lens defect or some other element reflected in the image, then they must be extraterrestrial spacecraft and the cause for the unexpected shutdown of solar observatories. The fact is that this entire episode is riddled with anomalies and weird occurrences. (Unidentified Flying Objects on the Sun)
But, for some, it is far simpler to accept the official explanation and avoid contemplating the truth. It is true that we do not know if Hill's photographs had anything to do with the closures of the various observatories, but we do know that when a river roars, water flows downstream.
