Data indicate that UFO sightings occur around every two or three minutes throughout the globe.
So, it is not unexpected that commercial airline pilots are among those who have observed their presence in our skies the most.
Several skilled pilots have been baffled by the occurrence of unexplained flying objects since the dawn of commercial flight. In numerous occasions, the whole crew and passengers have observed a sighting.
In the early days of commercial aircraft, these sightings actually caused a commotion. The witnesses were eager to share their stories with anyone willing to listen. Unfortunately, the unique experiences were diminishing gradually. The airlines were increasingly sensitive to these inexplicable incidents, even prohibiting its pilots from discussing their encounters in public.
Smartphones are now capable of recording any abnormality in the sky, therefore it is no longer required for a pilot to share his experience. This week, a fresh dispute has arisen, this time around a video purportedly showing a "fleet of UFOs" gliding gently beneath an airplane above Taiwan.
A squadron of UFOs
The footage was captured by a passenger of a plane traveling over Taiwan and appears to show about eight weird, glowing spheres drifting slowly beneath the plane. After the incident, the passenger, who wished to remain anonymous, did not hesitate to transmit the film to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), the international organization that analyzes UFO reports.
The passenger on the EVA Air flight from Vancouver, Canada to Taipei, Taiwan stated, "I have observed eight to ten flying UFOs." "Thirty minutes ago, I observed a brilliant light flying beneath me. The duration of my third video is 38 seconds. Around eight UFOs fly beneath the aircraft. I recorded the video in slow motion until I was instructed to switch off my camera owing to the landing regulations.
Several additional passengers reported seeing the fleet of strange objects under the aircraft. The footage was filmed in October 2014, but it has just recently been made public. Several Internet users who viewed the video are sure that a fleet of UFOs of alien origin flew beneath the jet.
Yet, skeptics assert that the strange unexplained flying objects were neither UFOs nor alien in origin. According to the Associated Press, three separate engineers and experts have stated that the video does not depict a UFO and have offered alternate interpretations, such as boats, reflections, and birds. James Oberg, a former US space engineer and writer who studies UFO reports, stated, "This is not even among the finest."
"Nature and human actions provide a vast array of answers, the majority of which these researchers (who shared the film) did not even consider," added Oberg.
The Associated Press states in an article on this recent sighting that it strives to verify widely disseminated misinformation on the Internet, collaborating with Facebook to identify and minimize the spread of fake reports on social networks.
Yet, this revelation by a US news agency has only served to inflame conspiracy theorists, who claim that governments and the mainstream media are concealing the presence of alien life on Earth.
And while skeptics and real believers in the UFO subject dispute the origin of this final mysterious footage, we ask: Is this conclusive proof of an alien visit, computer-generated visuals, the reflection of tiny lakes, or something else? A commenting uncertainty.
